Educational Qualification RGU Professor Recruitment, 54 New Positions

For recruitment to all the vacant posts mentioned, it is mandatory for the candidate to hold the following mandatory qualifications-

ProfessorAn eminent scholar having a Ph.D. degree in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline, and published work of high quality, actively engaged in research with evidence of published work with, a minimum of 10 research publications in the peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals and a total research score of 120 as per the criteria given in Appendix II, Table 2.

A minimum of ten years of teaching experience in university/college as Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Professor.

A good academic record, with a Ph.D. Degree in the concerned/allied/relevant disciplines.
Associate ProfessorA good academic record, with a Ph.D. Degree in the concerned/allied/relevant disciplines.

A Master‘s Degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale, wherever the grading system is followed).

A minimum of eight years of experience of teaching and / or research in an academic/research position equivalent to that of Assistant Professor in a University, College or Accredited Research Institution/industry with a minimum of seven publications in the peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals and a total research score of Seventy five (75) as per the criteria given in Appendix II, Table 2.
Assistant ProfessorA Master‘s degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever the grading system is followed) in a concerned/relevant/allied subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.

Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or the CSIR, or a similar test accredited by the UGC, like SLET/SET.

A good academic record, with a Ph.D. Degree in the concerned/allied/relevant disciplines.

Selection Procedure

  • Selection will be made on the basis of candidates’ overall record and performance in the interview.

Application Fees

  • Candidate belonging to General / OBC / EWS required to pay a non-refundable application fee of Rs.2000/-.
  • The SC/ST category required to pay a non-refundable application fee of Rs.500/-.
  • PwBD need not pay the application fee.
    • The application fee is to be paid through the payment gateway provided by the University by online Internet Banking/ Debit Card/ Credit Card/ UPI etc.

  • Register using proper credentials.
  • Fill in all the required details, like communication and personal information.
  • Upload necessary scanned documents in the prescribed format.
  • Pay the respective category-wise fee (If applicable) online and Submit the Application form.
  • Take a print out for future reference.
  • Applicants are to submit one set of Hard Copies of online application form, payment receipt along with all self-attested testimonials, certificates / educational qualifications and all supporting documents should reach to “The Registrar, Rajiv Gandhi University, Rono Hills, Doimukh, Arunachal Pradesh – 791112” in sealed envelope on or before the due date. All the documents should be clearly/ legibly printed on A4 size paper, properly paginated and should be spiral-binded in chronological order.
