Educational Qualification – SSC Sub-Inspector Recruitment, 1876 New Positions
For recruitment to all the vacant posts mentioned, it is mandatory for the candidate to hold the following mandatory qualifications-
- Educational Qualification for all posts is Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university or equivalent. The candidates who have appeared in their Bachelor’s degree or equivalent examination can also apply; however they must possess Essential Qualification on or before the cutoff date; i.e., 15.08.2023.
- For the post of Sub Inspector in Delhi Police for Male candidates only: Male candidates must possess a valid Driving License for LMV (Motorcycle and Car) on the date fixed for Physical Endurance and Measurement Tests (PE&MT) to be eligible for the post of Sub Inspector in Delhi Police. The male candidates who do not have a Valid Driving License for LMV (Motorcycle and Car) are eligible for the post of Sub Inspector in CAPFs only.
Pay Scale
- Sub-Inspector (GD) in CAPFs:- The post carries pay scale of Level-6 (Rs.35,400-Rs.1,12,400/-)
- Sub-Inspector (Executive) – (Male/Female) in Delhi Police:-The post carries pay scale of Level-6 (Rs.35,400-Rs.1,12,400/-)
Age Limit
- Age limit for the posts is 20-25 years; i.e. Candidate must have been born not earlier than 02.08.1998 and not later than 01.08.2003 to be eligible to apply.
- Age-relaxation permissible beyond the upper age limit as per Govt Rules.
Selection Procedure
- The selection process shall comprise of Computer Based Examinations, Physical Endurance Test (PET)/Physical Standard Test (PST) and Medical Examinations.

- Fee can be paid online through BHIM UPI, Net Banking, by using Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, RuPay Credit or Debit cards or through cash in SBI Branches by generating SBI Challan.

- For One-Time Registration, click on “Register Now‟.
- Complete the Registration Process and Login using your Registration Number.
- On successful login, information about the “Basic Details‟ so far filled by you will be displayed. by clicking on “Next‟ button at the bottom to complete your one-time Registration.
- Save the information provided.
- Proceed to make fee payment if you are not exempted from payment of fee.
