Educational Qualification & Experience – MPSC MCS Recruitment, 35 New Positions
For recruitment to all the vacant posts mentioned, it is mandatory for the candidate to hold the following mandatory qualifications-
- He/She must hold a Degree from any University incorporated by an Act of Parliament or State Legislature in India or any Foreign University recognized by the Government of Meghalaya.
- Candidates possessing professional and technical qualifications which are recognized by the Government as equivalent to professional and technical degree would also be eligible for admission to the examination.
Pay Scale – MPSC MCS Recruitment, 35 New Positions
- Level — 15 of Revised Pay Structure
Age Limit
- Candidates between 21 years and 32 years of age as on 01/01/2023 are eligible to apply.
- Upper age limit is relaxable by S years for SC/ST. No age bar in respect of regular Government employee who entered Government service within the prescribed age limit.
Selection Procedure
- The selection process shall comprises of a Preliminary Examination, Main Examination and Personal Interview.
- Preliminary Examination – as per the syllabus for the MCS Competitive Examination, questions will be of the objective type (Multiple Choice Questions). The number of candidates who will be called to appear for the Main Examination shall not be more than 15 (fifteen) times the number of vacancies declared.
- Main Examination -Candidates who qualify/pass the Preliminary Examination shall have to appear Main Examination and Examination shall be as per the MCS Competitive Examination Syllabus
- The Commission will call such number of candidates to appear for the Personal Interview as it may think appropriate to appear for the Personal Interview. The priniciple / policy followed is as per decision made by the Commission on 13th April, 2023 in ratio to 1:1.5 to the declared vacant posts.
Application Fees
- Candidate belonging to Unreserved category required to pay a non-refundable application fee of Rs.460/-.
- Candidate belonging to SC/ST category who are permanent residents of the State of Meghalaya required to pay a non-refundable application fee of Rs.230/-.
- Fee paid by the candidates through e-Challan or On-line mode using the On- line payment gateway GRAS. Candidates are advised to use e-Challan mode preferably.
- Payment via SBI Net-banking/ATM cum Debit Cards : – For payment using State Bank of India/s Net-banking, please select e-payment and select State Bank of India in the Meghalaya ePayment Portal page.
- Payment via Net Banking/ATM-cum Debit Card/Credit Cards of other Banks : – For payment using Debit/ATM/Credits Cards or Net Banking of other banks, please select SBI e-Pay Payment Gateway and click Proceed for Payment.
- E-Challan/Cash Payment at any branch of SBI : – Candidates may also opt for Cash Payment at any of the branches of SBI. For cash payment, please select Payment across Bank Counter.
