Educational Qualification & Experience – ICMR Scientist Recruitment, 10 New Positions
For recruitment to all the vacant posts mentioned, it is mandatory for the candidate to hold the following mandatory qualifications-
| Scientist “F” (Non-Medical) | Masters with PhD in Mathematics, Physics/Biophysics, Computer Science or Computer Engineering. 12 years of experience in R&D (including 03 years of managerial experience) including experience in Disease Modelling and forecasting in Govt./Public Sector/Private Institutions. PhD will be considered as 4 years’ experience MD/MS or equivalent to be considered as 3 years’ experience. MVSc will be considered as 2 years’ experience. MPH/M.Tech/ME will not be considered as any experience. |
| Scientist “F” (Medical) | MD/MS, recognised by MCI/NMC, in a clinical or paraclinical subject. 12 years of experience in R&D (including 03 years of managerial experience) including experience in Stem Cell Research/Regenerative Medicine in Govt./Public Sector/Private Institutions. PhD will be considered as 4 years’ experience MD/MS or equivalent to be considered as 3 years’ experience. MVSc will be considered as 2 years’ experience. MPH/M.Tech/ME will not be considered as any experience. |
| Scientist “D” (Non-Medical) | Masters from a recognised University in Bio-Chemistry/ Biology/Bio-Science/ Immunology/Microbiology/ Molecular Biology/ Pharmacology/ Pharmacy/ Virology/ Zoology/ Biotechnology. 8 years of experience in communicable Disease R&D, Including experience in research for pandemic preparedness and response, in Govt./Public Sector/Private Institutions. PhD will be considered as 4 years’ experience MD/MS or equivalent to be considered as 3 years’ experience. MVSc will be considered as 2 years’ experience. MPH/M.Tech/ME will not be considered as any experience. |

Selection Procedure
- For Scientist “D”(Non-Medical)-
- The selection process shall comprise of computer based written test (MCQs) or interview.
- Written test would be based on the understanding of research methods and will be of qualifying nature and minimum qualifying would be 75 percentile.
- For Scientist “F” (Non-Medical/Medical)–
- The selection process shall comprise of an interview or merit list.
Application Fees
- Candidate belonging to Unreserved categories required to pay a non-refundable application fee of Rs.1500/-.
- The SC/ST/EWS/PwBD/Women candidates are exempted from application fee.
- The candidate can pay the prescribed application fee through online mode only.
