Educational Qualification – Cochin Shipyard Rigger Trainees Recruitment, 30 New Positions
- Pass in VIII Std.
- Graduates or Diploma holders or persons having such other higher qualifications are not eligible
Pay Scale
- First Year Rs. 6000/- per month
- Second Year Rs. 7000/- per month
Age Limit
- The applicant’s age should be minimum 18 years and shall not exceed 20 years as on last date of online application (14 July 2023), i.e. date of birth of the applicants shall be any date in the period 15 July 2003 to 15 July 2005.
Training Period
- The period of training shall be for two years. However, depending upon organisational requirements, availability of vacancies and individual performance, successful candidates may be considered for appointment on contract basis, at the discretion of CSL.
Selection Procedure
- The selection process shall comprises of two phases
- Phase-I – Objective Type Online Test (50 marks)
- Phase-II – Physical Test (50 marks)
- Mark list shall be prepared on the basis of marks secured by candidates in the Phase I – Objective type online test.
- Further to the Certificate verification, the Phase II Physical test shall be conducted for the eligible candidates even if it is less than 1:6 ratio as decided by CSL.
- The Phase-II (Physical test) shall be held at CSL, Kochi.

Application Fees
- Candidate belonging to Unreserved categories required to pay a non-refundable application fee of Rs.600/-.(plus bank charges extra)
- The SC/ST/PwBd category need not pay the application fee.
- Application fee should be remitted using the Online payment options (Debit card/Credit card/Internet Banking/Wallets/UPI etc).
