Educational Qualification – Assam Rifles Sportspersons, 81 New Positions
For recruitment to all the vacant posts mentioned, it is mandatory for the candidate to hold the following mandatory qualifications-
- Matriculation (10th) Pass From A Recognized Board.
- Players Who Have Participated In Any International Competition / National Competitions/ Inter University Tournaments/ National Sports/ Games for School National Award Winner in National Physical Efficiency Drive.
Pay Scale- Assam Rifles Sportspersons, 81 New Positions
- Pay scale and other allowance will be as admissible to Assam Rifles personnel as per 7th CPC.
Age Limit
- For Gen & OBC candidate– Candidates between 18 and 28 years of age are eligible to apply (As on 01/08/2023).
- For SC & ST candidates– Candidates between 18 and 33 years of age are eligible to apply (As on 01/08/2023).
Selection Procedure
- The selection process shall comprise of a Physical Standards Tests (PST), Field Trial, Physical Efficiency Tests (PET) and Medical Exam and Final Selection.
Merit List and issue of Provisional Appointment Letter
The candidates who qualify in all respects i.e. Level of participation/ achievements, Physical Standard Test (PST), Medical Examination Test and performance in Field Trial will be placed in Merit List depending upon discipline wise vacancies allocated. Provisional appointment letters will be issued to the Meritorious candidates in accordance to the vacancies available against respective sports
discipline.
Application Fees
- Candidate belonging to Unreserved/OBC required to pay a non-refundable application fee of Rs.100/-.
- The SC/ST category need not pay the application fee.
- The fee will be deposited online by the candidates into SBI Current Account No. 37088046712 in favour of Recruitment Branch, HQ DGAR, Shillong – 793010 payable at SBI HQ DGAR Laitkor Branch IFSC Code – SBIN0013883.

How to Apply
- To Apply, fill up the online application by clicking on “ONLINE APPLICATION” option on official website of Assam Rifles.
- The candidate will fill the requisite details as prescribed in the application form.
- After filing up the application, the candidates has the option to make online payment via link given for online payment or alternatively the payment can be made at any SBI counters as well.In both the options the candidate will have to upload copy of the chailan or recipt online.
- Candidates while reporting for Physical Standard Test(PST) Field Trail, Detailed Medical Examination (DME) ,Review Medical Examination (RME) as per applicable will produce original copy of payment receipt / challan for official records.
- ln case of non uploading of receipt / challan during online registration, the candidature of such application will be rejected.
- The candidates will also produce the printed copy of online Application Form duly completed and a copy of call letter downloaded from the website.
